Functional Improv™ – Drop-in Improv Class for Everyday Life
June 21st, 2020 | 4:00pm - 5:30pm
This weekly drop-in improv class was born during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. With other classes having to shut down, the Las Vegas improv community was left with a hole on Sundays afternoons and evenings where improv used to be the norm.
The Functional Improv™ Drop-in Improv Class for Everyday Life takes improv games, exercises, and traditions and modifies them for an online or virtual environment. While you still get many of the improv basics you are familiar with (or maybe you’re not, which is okay too, as this class is more beginner friendly than ever), they also bring applied improvisation into the mix, which helps you use improv skills in other life situations.
So you can expect to not only laugh and have fun during this weekly break, but you’ll also walk away with new skills and insights designed to help you in all aspects of life, whether that’s during this interesting time in the world, or at your next work meeting, first date, or just in getting along with your friends and family better.
Natalie Sullivan (Natalie Shipman) and Ryan Neufeld run each event as they are the cofounders of Vegas Improv Power. The classes take place on Zoom, and they take full advantage of all the tech perks to help you connect in new ways.
