you. improved. improv. is a one-time drop-in class focused on helping you, whoever you are, and wherever you are, become a better version of you. This 90-minute online class is open to anyone and everyone 18+ who has an open mind and an interest in saying “yes.”
We’ve taught improv as a performance art for many years, and we’ve also used improv in corporate workshops for nearly as many years to help teams and companies improve communication, listening, adaptability, empathy, storytelling, public speaking, and more. And with the current challenges our world is facing, we have retooled, reimagined, and reinvested in what improv can do for us as humans.
Yes, we will laugh and play games, but we’ll also utilize those games to navigate some of what we are experiencing right now.
And yes, there will be some jokes and all-around silliness, but we’ll also sneak in some lessons to level up your life (at work, at home, or on Zoom), just like your mom would sneak vegetables in your dinner. Hey, at least we’re up front about it!
And finally, yes, we are not able to be together and be on a stage at the moment. But instead of shying away from this, or clinging to a traditional improv curriculum, we have leaned into our reality to create an experience that’s more accessible, more flexible, and, we feel, more beneficial right now.
$3.33 will get you into this Zoom-based improv event. Why $3.33? It’s no accident! We love the rule of threes, of course. You’ve probably heard of it before, and the number 3 holds a special place in the world of improv and comedy. Come learn why!
The class is open to everyone and is extremely beginner friendly. We’ll run through some improv game standbys as well as some functional improvisation exercises to give you a feel for how much fun personal development can be. And if you join us, we’ll even give you a 50% off coupon to check out one of our ongoing Sunday drop-in classes – we’ll actually be paying you to attend, I think? Look, we never said we were great at math.
The class is hosted by the co-founders of Vegas Improv Power, Natalie Sullivan, and Ryan Neufeld. Natalie trained and taught in Chicago for many years before moving to Las Vegas. She found homes at The Second City, ComedySportz, iO Chicago, and the Vegas Theatre Hub. Ryan trained and taught here in Las Vegas, as well as in Los Angeles, including at the Vegas Theatre Hub, ComedySportz, and iO West. This extravert and introvert duo has performed together, taught together, and love sharing the gift and excitement of improv to anyone who will listen, and we hope that next person is you!
